Sean Hannity is talking new contract
By David Hinckley
Sean Hannity could be leaving ABC Radio for a new syndicator on Thursday - a move that might or might not make much difference to listeners.
Hannity, who Talkers magazine puts close to Rush Limbaugh as the country’s most popular talk host, has a contract window that lets him leave ABC within a year of the company’s sale.
That date is Thursday, and Hannity is talking with the new owners, Citadel, about reupping - presumably at a higher number with a healthy signing bonus. He reportedly makes $5 million a year from radio, compared to some $30 million for Rush.
The trade mag Taylor on Radio-Info says Hannity had a personal meeting with Citadel chief Farid Suleman last week. Clear Channel is also a contender, but even if he jumps there he could continue to be heard on WABC (770 AM) - because WABC is the country’s most important talk station and Clear Channel doesn’t own a talk station here.

$5 million a year doesn’t seem like a lot for Hannity’s radio contract (if Rush is making $30 million). Does anyone know what Imus gets? Seemed like it was more than $5 million, and his ratings are nowhere NEAR Sean’s, from what I remember.

I think I-man was somewhere in the 10 million a year range. (80% sure). So if Hannity is only making 5 million a year that seems pretty low. Then again, I wouldn’t be complaining if I got upped to 5 million a year.

Where was Michelle Obama during the 9/11 Commemorative Services. She was conspicuous by her absence! The media has not addressed this!!

Have you seen the David Asmen report on Fox news? I am so mad that the Democrats who voted against the bills and investigations of Freddie and Fannie. I think all those who stopped the investigations should have their voting records exposed and put out there for all to see. Also the money that they took to keep Freddie and Fannie to keep loosing money by bad debt. How dare they say this was Bush’s fault. They blocked every one who tried to use good judgement in dealing with the problem. In fact I think they should be fired. Help!!!!!!!! get this in news today.
Thanks
Minnie
