  1. Now MSNBC is starting in on Cindy McCain vs. Michelle Obama.

While the differences between Mr. Obama (youthful, vibrant, good orator) and John McCain (not telegenic, but some other good qualities) are obvious, the two potential first ladies always seemed to be on a par with each other, presentation-wise anyway. But not any more.

MSNBC showed a typical video of Mrs. Obama on the left, but on the right side of the screen, they showed an extremely poorly lit video of Cindy McCain, making her looking very haggard, old and wrinkled, and with her hair extremely messy and tangled looking. She was seen speaking extremely slowly, and looked like she was about 90 years old.

I have never seen Mrs. M. look anything but perfect, yet MSNBC was able to somehow dig up this horrible video. With Mrs. Obama on the left side of the screen, the comparison was obvious. Now BOTH Cindy and John McCain will be perceived as the extremely senior couple, even though Mrs. McCain is about 20 years younger than her husband, and only 10 years older than Michelle O.

I guess we have this to look forward to ifor the rest of the election season.

  2. Missy, I missed this. Thank goodness.
Cindy McCain is picture perfect. She is a classic beauty, sophisticated and refined.

  3. Major Garrett scored another one for the FNC team.
They were late with the story but Major got the scoop of the night.
CNN and MSNBC were blabbing on and on about the meeting at Hillary’s home. But Major discovered the truth - Diane Feinstein’s home was the meeting place.
Another topic. Greta is now talking about a murder that took place in 2004!
What is her problem? It is no wonder that Anderson’s numbers are creeping up on her. Move on, Greta.

  4. For Tucker Carlson fans.
Go to nathansgeorgetown.com. There are four ten minute interviews with Tucker. They are also on youtube.

  5. Cella, you really love the Tucker Carlson, don’t you? :)

And Missy, didn’t you just describe Hannity & Colmes? One is youthful, vibrant (if not a bit dumb) and the other is, well Skeletor (not telegenic, but some other good qualities). Fox has tried to portray Republicans like this for years. And all Dems they have on are right-wing ones (Harold Ford, LIEberman) or tokens (Colmes). I’d love to see Rachel Maddow take apart Hannity or Orally.

To be fair, I didn’t see the story you’re talking about. I was just commenting on the tactic you say is being used.

  7. Did anybody watch ED Hill today? I was shocked and disgusted by her. She was teasing a story about Michelle and Barack’s fist pound and she began saying something like, “A fist bump? A Pound? A Terrorist Fist Jab?”

    WTF????

she was just teasing a story basically on communication and when it came to the actually story, there was no talk about terrorist fist jab. So I want to know why the hell she even said something so disgustingly outrageous. Anybody else see this today?

  8. Shaun,

True, I can’t stand Alan, and yes, he is not the most attractive man in the world. But after listening to him a minute or so, most conservatives would forget all about his looks and just vehemently disagree with his positions and logic. That’s what I do, anyway.

But MSNBC went out of its way to find a video of Mrs. M. looking like an old hag, while showing a picture perfect video of Michelle Obama opposite her. While the video of Michelle Obama was typical as far as how she’s projected herself, the video they selected of Cindy McCain was probably taken on the most humid day of the year, with the poorest lighting imaginable, etc. They were clearly trying to draw a contrast, as I mentioned above.

Alan is who he is, and FNC does nothing to further detract from his looks. That is the difference.
