  1. I can’t believe this little weasil, Scott McClelland, has shown what an ****ole he is.
Terance, I understand if you want to delete this. I know we can’t use vulgar language.

  2. Cella…tell us how you really feel! :)

Obviously, Scott has no loyalty. I am not saying he doesn’t have the right to say what he is saying, as long as it is the truth, which currently is the debate at hand. It seems that he is doing this simply for the money and fame. He was a terrible press secretary and maybe this is his way of saving face? He should have waited to publish this book.

  3. Just like Republicans to value loyalty over what is right. Rove & Co are busy smearing the crap out of him right now. It is a disgusting display, but a completely expected one.

All of the things he is saying are what everyone who isn’t a Republican and loyal Bushie already KNOWS.

Your party is going up in flames.

  4. Cella, using acronyms or asterisk’s (like you did) is perfectly fine.. I happen to use vulgar language all the time but not on the computer.

Btw, I think its laughable that Dana Perino weighed in on this.. because what is she supposed to say while employed as the WHPS? Duh!

Also, equally funny has to be FNC’s “exclusive” with Karl Rove on the matter. I mean, isn’t Karl Rove on the CLOCK?

  5. Interestingly, I just heard Shep say (on Studio B) something about Rove “declining” to come on his program.

  6. Shaun,

I am not saying that what Scott said in the book isn’t true, all I am saying is that is should have waited until Bush was out of office to publish it. I would be saying that no matter the party affiliation, I just think it is the right thing to do.

What I find interesting is that it seems that NO ONE who knew or worked with Scott knew this side of him, that is what I find questionable. If he had issues with things he should have the b*lls to speak up, I don’t buy the crap that he couldn’t or was afraid to….if you care that much about what is going on and feel that strongly you would do it, consequences be damned.

  7. Ditto, Cella and Jerziegirl. He was a horrible press secretary, and I always thought Bush just felt sorry for him or something to keep him on the job. Now he turns on the administration.

As said above, if everything was so bad, he should have left at the time. He is a sniveling little weasil!

  8. He is a sniveling little weasil who was a spokesman for a sniveling weasil administration. This administration cannot hire competent employees. They hire their friends. Didnt Bushie tell Scotty “Good job Scotty”. This administration is full of crooks and liars.

Ha! what a hoot. Of COURSE that’s how you select the person who’s going to be presenting the public face of White House policy… you feel SORRY for the poor schmuck.

  10. Scottie comes from a family of Democrats, and his mother is quite active in Democrat politics locally.

  11. Terance: I’m sorry you did not post the Equities Magazine interview with LIz Claman. I love Liz since she came over to FBN.

Anybody who was raised in New Jersey and attended UC-Berkeley is OK by me.

Hey Arthur, where have you been hiding? Nothing like an anti-Bush book to get you out of the woodwork!

It strikes me as ironic that you’d suggest something like this… after all, it the DEMOCRATS who ousted Joe Liebermann when he didn’t go along 100% with party line, saying that he had no loyalty. Seems to be a similar situation, although in this case, we’re only talking about a Press Secretary… not an established Senator and former VP nominee.

As for Mr. McClelland, I agree with some of the other posters who were not fans of his. Of this administration’s Press Secretaries, I felt he was the least prepared. He always had this “dear in headlights” kind of look to him, and seem to be easily flustered by the questions of the reporters. He didn’t seem to have the strength the position (and the times) required.

As for his book… who knows. I feel currently that publishers need to release things like this to the press, or else the book won’t get covered at all. But who knows what he actually says in the book?

My only question is towards the people who are now grasping for this like it’s the new bible. A few years ago, you thought he was the Devil (or at least part of the Devil’s team)… everything he said was a lie, and he should not be trusted in the least. But now that he’s saying things you agree with, he’s “breaking free,” and he “must be telling the truth.” So which is it? Is he a big liar, or a truth teller? It appears to me that in your work, the “truthiness” of the situation only really depends on WHAT he’s saying… if the content agrees with our current opinions, than he must be telling the truth. To me, that’s pretty shallow and hypocritical… although not unexpected.

To me, I question people who make such big 180s. I wonder, why they didn’t speak up before? If things were so bad, why didn’t they start talking then? Why wait for a book to be published… or is this about financial gain, more than it is about getting out the truth? Or is this some sort of revenge (see Dick Morris vs. Clintons)? There are a lot of things that make me a bit skeptical… but I’ll reserve judgment until I read the book myself.
