Coming soon, eh?
Feel free to share the wisdom you possess.
Just for the record, I have no intention of "replacing" Spud’s superior cable news blog. But, I am capable of surfing for cable related news (in the early morning dew and throughout the day) and giving the people from ICN a place to discuss things.
Update: Those looking for ratings, inside scoops, youtube clips, or every presser and cable news related thing might be a little disappointed. I have quite a few other interests and this is only one of them. However, I will try to find interesting stuff for those who wish to read.

Count me in! And you didn’t waste any time getting a stat counter I see.

Hey look, your first grammatical mistake!
“Your” not “You’re”

I’m expecting high quality reporting here, mister…and at least one Veronica pic a day :)

Of course you are not replacing Spud. You are just filling a void.
Feel free to shoot any blogsome questions here.

What’s up Terance? Though nothing can be as good as Spud, we have to band together to stay updated.

Great idea, Terance; I was just thinking we needed a migration plan…

Nothing much, Aaron. I sorta got caught by surprise with Spuds’ announcement..
Hey Elmonica, do you know how I can get the permalinks at the bottom of posts? I see their on the “title” right now. Thanks.

OCN? That might take some getting used to. But I need somewhere to spend the hours and hours per day I spent on Spud’s site…

Count me in. Hey, I’m just learning blogsome now too.
It was because of Spud i started my own blog. No one can replace him, but we can all help to fill the void. Thanks so much Terrance.

Hey Elmonica, do you know how I can get the permalinks at the bottom of posts?
Terrance, click on my blog. Is that how you want to display the permanent links more or less?
Comment by elmonica — February 15, 2008 @ 12:38 am
Sorta. For instance the permalink on this topic is at the top called, “coming soon, eh?” I just wanted that at the bottom too with the # of posts.. Maybe because thats the way I usually click for a direct link to things. I haven’t had a chance to read the docs for this software yet but did check the settings and poked around in the code just a little bit. I did manage to fix this annoying box which used to be very small, eh. Anyway I’m going to sleep now, thanks for any help.
Comment by Terance — February 15, 2008 @ 12:48 am
well not sure I follow but,
the modification I made was in the “posts” file and was to copy the following line just above the ” {the_title}
Comment by elmonica — February 15, 2008 @ 12:56 am
It read my comment above as html tag and it hosed my comment. Anyway check the “posts” file and the line that begins with “
Comment by elmonica — February 15, 2008 @ 12:59 am
I am already on board too and with the same posters as Spud had, it cannot go wrong. You’re already bookmarked and after Drudge, the second thing I click. Thanks for giving us this and it will be successful I am sure.

No more looking in the rear view mirror.(hard not to at times)
Now we can move on.
Thanks, Terance.

Ugh…couldn’t you have come up with something more original? Outside Cable News? Doesn’t that mean by definition that you’re covering broadcast news and not cable news?
Comment by Spud — February 19, 2008 @ 8:02 pm
^ It was a spur of the moment type thing while I was in “denial” about my favorite blog closing. With that said, since I don’t have any contacts in the biz, that would be “outside cable news” looking in.
